Frequently asked questions
Does the watermark go on every page at once?
Yes — type your text once (or upload an image) and it's stamped, centered, on every page in a single action. Editing it afterward on any one page updates it on every page together, since it's meant to read as one consistent watermark; deleting it only removes that one page's copy, in case you want it gone from just a cover page or similar.
Can I use my own logo or image as the watermark instead of text?
Yes — switch to the Image tab in the Watermark tool and upload a PNG, JPEG, or WEBP. It gets the same opacity and rotation controls text does, stamped centered on every page the same way.
Can I pick the watermark's color or make it rotated/diagonal?
The watermark's color is always a fixed pale gray — custom colors aren't supported yet. Rotation and opacity are both adjustable, though, right in the Watermark tool: drag it to any angle for a diagonal watermark, and anywhere from fully solid down to barely-there.
Is this a real redaction, or does it just cover the page?
Neither — a watermark doesn't hide or remove anything underneath it; it's pale and layered on top specifically so the original content stays fully readable. If you need to actually redact sensitive content, use the Blackout tool instead.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere to add a watermark?
No. Everything happens in your browser using JavaScript. The file never leaves your device.
