Experimental: Fill Form is most reliable on a real, official fillable PDF. On a scanned or flattened document (just printed blank lines, no real form fields behind them), it falls back to a best-effort visual guess — which can occasionally miss a blank or flag the wrong line. If it misses something, the regular Add Text tool always works as a fallback for that one spot.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a tool that automatically detects and fills in PDF form fields?

Yes — Fill Form scans the page for fillable spots, highlights each one in orange, and walks you through them one at a time: type or sign, click Next Field, repeat. There's no need to click around looking for every blank yourself.

Does Fill Form work on scanned or non-fillable PDFs?

It tries both. If the PDF has real, official fillable fields, Fill Form uses those directly and detection is reliable. If it doesn't — a scanned document or a flattened form with just printed blank lines — it falls back to a best-effort visual guess at where those lines are, which can occasionally miss a blank or flag the wrong line. That's why it's labeled experimental.

Is Fill Form free, and is my PDF uploaded to use it?

It's free, with no account and no signup, same as every other tool here. Detection, typing, and signing all happen locally in your browser — your PDF is never uploaded to a server to use Fill Form.

What's the difference between Fill Form and Add Text?

Add Text places one text box wherever you click — you find each blank yourself. Fill Form finds the blanks for you, highlights them, and walks you through them in order so you don't have to hunt for each one. For a short form, either works; for a long one, Fill Form saves the hunting.
